Piękny kolor lakieru, częściowa stylizacja AMG w postaci felg Penta z rotorami malowanymi w kolor karoserii i charakterystyczną dokładką przedniego zderzaka to są elementy, które sprawiają, że stylowe coupe zaświecić może jeszcze większym blaskiem. Mercedes 350 SLC C107 fabrycznie wychodził na stalowej feldze z deklem albo na felgach Barock – to wszystko elementy charakterystyczne dla Mercedesa, mocno osadzające go w rzeczywistości przełomu lat 60. i 70.

AMG zrobiło kilka prostych tricków, dzięki którym auto stało się ponadczasowe. W końcu jeszcze 2 lata wcześniej fabrykę Mercedesa opuszczały Pagody i rubensowskie w kształtach W111, a tu mamy auto, które do dziś nie wygląda archaicznie, a czaruje od zawsze, nie tylko swoją sylwetką, ale i temperamentem solidnej V8-mki, którą zamontowano tu pod maską.

Takie auto po kompleksowej renowacji to radość na wiele lat. Ten był gwiazdą miesięcznika Classicauto… 14 lat temu. Mało kto pamięta tamte czasy, a auto wciąż wygląda świetnie.

Prezentowany przez nas egzemplarz do Polski przyjechał z Niemiec na początku lat 2000. Otwierany elektrycznie szyberdach i pakiet stylistyczny AMG sprawiają, że 107 wygląda wyjątkowo sportowo.

Samochód przeszedł kompleksową renowację, w trakcie której zastosowano oryginalne części i zespoły nadwozia oraz wyposażenia dostępne w sieci. Mercedes-Benz, co zostało pisemnie potwierdzone przez biegłego rzeczoznawcę. Stopień oryginalności oceniono na blisko 100%, a klasę stanu samochodu ustalono na 1-2, ze zbliżeniem do 1.

Historia odbudowy tego Mercedesa została opisana w 4 numerze magazynu Classicauto z 2006 roku. Od 2005 roku wpisany na listę pojazdów zabytkowych.
