MG TF to nazwa, która dziś kojarzona jest najczęściej z produkowanym od 2002 roku roadsterem, lecz nie jest to pierwszy model marki, który nosił to imię. TF to poprzednik modelu MGA, kontynuator serii T-type, czyli produkowanych od lat 30. modeli TA, TB, TC, TD i TF. Wyróżniały je czterocylindrowe silniki OHV z dwoma gaźnikami, czterostopniowe skrzynie z synchronizacją wyższych przełożeń i… czysta frajda z jazdy.

Wyciągając rękę, kierowca mógłby dotknąć tu nawierzchni. W tych autach widać i czuć wszystko, co dzieje się wokół, i to jest duża część ich uroku. MG TF oferowany był w latach 1953–55 i był jedynym w serii, który otrzymał przednie światła zintegrowane z błotnikami. Zbudowano ich 9602 sztuki, z czego w specyfikacji z silnikiem 1250 i kierownicą po lewej stronie, jak w ogłoszeniu, powstało 4168 egzemplarzy, z których większość sprzedana została w USA. Z pewnością nie każda prezentuje się dziś tak, jak ten.

MG TF to 2 drzwiowy model o charakterze sportowym z nadwoziem typu kabriolet za którym obejrzy się każdy, nawet ten kto o motoryzacji pojęcia nie ma. Co w nim tak niezwykłego? Przede wszystkim linia, która mimo upływu blisko 70 lat nadal robi wrażenie auta z charakterem, kolejnym elementem jest wykończenie wnętrza kremowymi skórami i drewnem które idealnie wpisuje się w klimat pojazdu.

Prezentowany przez nas egzemplarz do Polski przyjechał w 2020 roku z USA, gdzie był restaurowany. Silnik w modelu TF to 4 cylindrowy rzędowe 1.2 litra, które generuje niespełna 60 koni mechanicznych, co zupełnie wystarcza do przejażdżek, które potrafią być także całkiem dynamiczne ze względu na niską wagę auta (912 kg masy własnej).

Zdecydowanym plusem auta jest dźwięk, którym rzędowa czwórka na wyższych obrotach potrafi zaskoczyć. Nadwozie w wykonaniu stalowo drewnianym oraz miękki składany dach prezentuję się bardzo dobrze, żaden z elementów nie jest zniszczony oraz nie wymaga prac.

MG jest w pełni oryginalne, posiada opinię rzeczoznawcy jest zarejestrowany w Polsce i w pełni gotowy do jazdy.
