Samochód pochodzi z kolekcji szwedzkiego entuzjasty marki Saab i kierowcy rajdowego, Fredrika Ekendahla. Już w Szwecji przeszedł pierwsze modyfikacje, po czym trafił do Polski w 2004 roku.

Jego pierwszym właścicielem w kraju był Tadeusz Kwiatek, założyciel klubu SAAB GT-Classic.
Przez dekadę spędzoną w jego rękach auto otrzymało między innymi nową powłokę lakierniczą i odbudowę mechaniki, jak również dalsze modyfikacje.

Drugi właściciel auta z lat 2014-2021 to Jacek Kołodziejski, znany polski fotograf reklamowy.
Jacek kontynuował modyfikacje, zlecając między innymi budowę bardzo mocnego silnika.
Auto odkupione w 2021 roku przez Giełdę Klasyków przeszło jeszcze drobne modyfikacje, które pozwoliły uwolnić jego potencjał.
Samochód za kadencji GK otrzymał twardsze sprężynki zaworowe, elektroniczny zapłon 123ignition i zostały wystrojone gaźniki.
Auto po odbudowie nie uczestniczyło nigdy na poważnie w rywalizacji sportowej.
Używamy go jedynie rekreacyjnie, i do tego celu nadaje się znakomicie.

A co zostało zmienione? Klatka bezpieczeństwa, fotele Sparco, 4 punktowe pasy Sparco, interkom. Układ gaśniczy oraz centralny wyłącznik prądowy. Dołożone wskaźniki ciśnienia oleju, temperatury oleju i płynu oraz wskaźnik napięcia ładowania. Silnik o pojemności 1850 cm³, kute tłoki, unikatowy sportowy dolot (cross flow), gaźniki Weber 45, zrobiony porting głowicy, duże zawory, ostry wałek, lekkie koło zamachowe, otwarty układ wydechowy. Modyfikacja chłodzenia oraz układu olejowego. Nowa instalacja elektryczna, akumulator przeniesiony do bagażnika. Unikatowe felgi RAC, które były robione tylko przez dwa lata do rajdowych Saabów na specjalne zamówienie. Kierownica i dźwignia hamulca ręcznego to również oryginalne wyposażenie rajdowe z epoki.
